Who we are

What we collect, and why
- Booking requests and function enquiries. The forms on this site don't store anything on our website. When you press send, your details (name, mobile number, date, time, number of people and any notes) go to us as a WhatsApp message from your phone. We use them only to handle your booking or enquiry.
- Calls and WhatsApp messages. What you tell us when you call or message us, used to take your booking or order.
- Menu likes. When you like a dish, we store the dish and a random code created by your browser (not your name or number), so you can't like the same dish twice. To prevent abuse we keep a scrambled, one-way version of your internet address for one hour, then delete it.
- On your device. Your browser remembers which dishes you've liked, so the hearts stay filled. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies, and doesn't sell or share your information for marketing.
Who else handles it
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which also stores the menu-like counts. WhatsApp messages are carried by WhatsApp (Meta) under their own terms. These services may process information outside South Africa, with protections required by POPIA.
How long we keep it
Booking and enquiry details only as long as we need them to handle your request and for our normal business records. Like records stay until you unlike the dish; scrambled internet addresses are deleted after one hour.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to us using it. Call or WhatsApp 056 811 4535, or ask at the restaurant.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please talk to us first. You can also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
